If you can't have a Birkin bag, have the plant! This gorgeous plant has glossy, heart-shaped leaves that come in mostly variegated, pine stripped pattern. As a kokedama the natural beauty is further enhanced by the green minimalist display.
Why We Love It:
Kokedamas are watered by soaking the moss ball in a bowl of water for 10-20 minutes. After soaking if any part of the moss ball is dry, run under the facet. I like to set the kokedama on the sink to fully absord the water before returning it to its usual home. The Kokedama should not be watered again until complete dry (usually 7-14 days).
Nutrient rich soil inside. We start with a bonsai soil mixture, then add potting soil, coco koir, charcoal, worm castings and slow release fertilizer.
This plant prefer bright, indirect light, which basically means it should be within 5 feet of a window, but with no direct sun (especially direct afternoon sun).
At Shani’s Living Creations, we believe plants should bring joy, not stress. Our air plants are living art—easy to care for, endlessly fascinating, and full of life.
